Harrell's Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Seed Guide - Bentgrass Varieties

PIRANHA #600511
Bred to excel in high heat conditions. Tests were
conducted at multiple sites to identify deep rooted,
stress resistance germplasm. Piranha has shown excellent
disease resistance to dollar spot and brown patch.


ALPHA #830749
Similar performance to T1. Very aggressive recovery on tees and high
traffic areas. Alpha also has unique ability to succeed in interseeding
programs. Great blender with T1.

BARRACUDA #830911
Readily establishes, lower upright growth, high tiller
shoot density. Color is moderately dark bright green.
Colder climate performance, good color, frost tolerance,
and snow mold resistance is excellent.


PENNCROSS #830299
Penncross bentgrass performs under a wide range of conditions making
this putting green seed adaptable virtually worldwide. Penncross performs
best on a sandy soil and tolerates clay soils with adequate drainage.


TRIFECTA BLEND #830409-MV

greens, tees and fairways. Aggressive recovery with low to moderate
thatching. Manages very well under reduced irrigation. Unique
breeding process makes T1 a proven variety for interseeding

PENNLINKS II #650008
PennLinks II bentgrass is the second generation of PennLinks and
like PennLinks, it has good disease resistance and excellent heat and
drought tolerance. In addition, PennLinks II bent grass variety
has greater resistance to dollar spot.

Shark #650009

For greens, fairways, and tees, look to Shark. A Superintendent friendly creeping bentgrass providing heat tolerance, disease resistance, cold tolerance, and wear tolerance with normal maintenance.
